Catching Up
So once again I have fallen behind on the blog. I am working as a Architectural Designer now at a Design/Build firm. I have been creating renderings for submissions and proposals, as well as some CAD work.
I have also been continuing on my cookbook, as well as starting to create jewelry again. I created a simple pair of earrings last night, and wore them to work today. While we were out to lunch, the deli owner asked where I purchased my earrings, when I told her I designed and made them myself, she asked if I could make her a pair to match some jewelry she had... I guess wearing my jewelry is the best way to advertise!
I will post images of my recent designs soon.

Archeyes: Competition: Project 10 to the 100
Do you have an idea that could change the world for the better and truly make a difference? Google thinks with all the information out there that the ideas have been generating for a long time. Google set up a platform for these ideas to flourish; whether the idea is for a new invention, new architectural design, modified water purification system, etc. they wanted to hear ideas from anyone.
They created a whole project dedicated to that idea called 10 to the 100th. For their 10th anniversary they have committed to invest $10 million dollars in a winning idea(s). The deadline to submit ideas has passed...and so has the voting... I have been trying to find the winners but no luck so far.
The idea is kinda like the movie pay it forward... where a collective idea and wisdom can be passed between people at a very rapid speed thus making the word a better place by pushing for change together (strength in numbers).

Event planned for 400 plus Master of Architecture graduates, faculty, and architectural professions to exhibit the work of Wentworth Architecture Students. We aimed to showcase the work of the graduates from the Master of Architecture Program. The showcase was designed to emulate a New York City style art gallery. The showcase remained on display until the next semester began to inspire and motivate the underclassmen still in school to strive to create high quality work. The Celebration became yet another event to designed to create culture and tradition at Wentworth.
Under the overall direction of Professor and Architect Elizabeth Gibb Jillian Infurchia and myself designed and coordinated the spatial layout, posters, signage, and videography of the event.
Archeyes: Design: Inspiration
Interesting movie clip about how to bring the outside into the inside of a space by Philips Design Probe.
I really enjoy their use of architectural concepts infused with graphic design and industrial design techniques to solve issues.

Phenomena: Arch Vanguard Gala
The Master of Architecture class of 2010 wanted to instill new traditions at our school. I was in charge, with a team of 2 others to design, coordinate, and create the Arch Vanguard Gala for 90+ individuals. The design our team decided would envoke ideas of change, innovation, and a reflection to the past.
We designed the atmosphere to be reminiscent of the avant-garde era of architecture because of the new and unusual methods and ideas the designers used and developed.
